About
Originally trained as a chiropractor, Dr. Campise went on to study holistic alternative health with an emphasis on nutrition, diet, exercise, Ki-aikido, Kiatsu, Zen Body Therapy, red light and UV light therapy, hyperbaric therapy, barefoot running, Dr. Scott Walker’s Neuro-Emotional Technique, Dr. George Goodheart’s Applied Kinesiology, Dr. Ted Carrick’s Chiropractic Neurology, Dr. Dino Kotsonis’ coupled-motion cervical treatments and left brain focused treatments, Dr. Phil Maffetone’s 180-formula aerobic exercise training method, and old school Cox table manual traction for lumbar disc treatment and rehab. Dr. Campise has been trained in human evolutionary theory and early human environmental needs for optimal health by Tim Baker, (Tim is an author, hunter-gatherer enthusiast, and self-made expert craftsman of early human tools, weapons, and technology, including bow and arrow, string making from plant fibers, and glue from animal remains). Dr. Campise’s unique breadth and depth of understanding of human health combined with several difficult personal life experiences (including witnessing up close the horrific consequences of adoption when combined with early childhood sexual abuse that was kept hidden from the adoptee, and the semi intentional murder of his father by negligent ICU nurses and doctors while they pretended to be trying to save his life), have led to his deep understanding of the true genetic nature of humans as a combination of competent self-reliance and generous cooperation with others, and that anything less than this is a result of some level of neglected human need (needed environmental cues for turning on our “human” traits and turning off our lower “animal” traits, for example, adequate amounts of loving human touch from parents during infancy). Contrary to popular opinion that humans are naturally selfish, violent, cruel, racist, and power hungry, Dr. Campise argues that though these traits are common in modern times, they are caused by pathology, not human nature. His conclusion is that in order to correct these bad societal traits requires first a correct diagnosis that identifies the cause of the illness so that a remedy can be designed and implemented to heal the injuries. If we erroneously think these negative traits are just the result of human nature, then necessarily any prescribed treatments would necessitate using some form of force to prevent or alter our nature. Doing so would only make things worse in the long run as all treatments do when prescribed to treat something that’s not the underlying cause, but especially because force is one of the ingredients that tends to cause children to become inhumane adults. More force only triggers the original pain and hurt from the childhood of the adult criminal, hardening their hearts even more. Utilizing Dr. Campise’s understanding of true human nature and what we need (but are missing) to express it optimally, we can begin to make sense of all of the drama and calamity of written history including the invention of wars, religions, archetypical myths, politics, and the arrival of modern illness, viral pandemics, psychopaths, violence, and addictions in general including alcohol/drugs, sex, workalism, and so on. We can also begin to make sense of what humans have been intuitively trying to do to fix this problem (archetypal myths, religion, etc.), even though they haven’t fully consciously identified the cause, and why most of the remedies end up not working. By applying Dr. Campise’s theory we can understand the true benefit of spirituality and religion for regaining our optimal human health on an emotional heart level, while simultaneously knowing that the atheists are technically right that god is a non-falsifyible hypothesis and so adults must admit that god doesn’t exist in or effect the physical world on a logical level. Yet we can realize that a perceived spiritual relationship with some version of god may be an initially required step to heal humans back into their self-reliant and yet cooperative and compassionate true natures. And if this were to happen, the metaphor of god inside a person’s heart would miraculously change the world for the better.
